Police Problem Management Plan HGV residents feedback
Bedfordshire Police have opened a Problem Management Package (PMP) for Chalton to address the ongoing issue of HGVs travelling through the village in breach of the 7.5-tonne weight restriction.
To support the police with evidence, the Parish Council is asking residents to report any sightings of HGVs travelling through the village when they do not appear to be making a local delivery.
If you see a suspected breach, please report it using the HGV Reporting Form above:
Information that helps the police includes:
• Date and time
• Location
• Company name on vehicle
• Direction of travel
• Registration number (if safe to obtain)
• Any photos (optional)
Even partial information is useful.
All reports will be gathered to support this matter under a Problem Management Plan with Bedfordshire Police.
