The Chapel Farm Battery Energy Storage System, Chalton is due to commence works on Monday 25th July 2022. Details of the development can be found via the Central Bedfordshire Council planning portal, application number CB/21/04143/VOC.

Construction activities are expected to last eight months completing in March 2023. Access to site will be via the access road off the B579 Luton Road and construction traffic will be directed via junction 11A of the M1, to avoid any increase in traffic within the village of Chalton. The highway adjacent to the site will be maintained and cleaned as required.
Normal working hours will be within the period 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00 am to 1.00pm on Saturdays, if required.
